===== We have 2 new parts (Builder and Mender): =====
(Now that we have building mechanics, we can now add traps in the future.)

Other updates: Damage, healing, and parasites now have visual effects. Bubble chat works again.

A new simple part that's feels good to fill in your species (Lipid)


We now have a new ability called Electrocyte! It was a pain to make, but I'm so happy with the result.


Spikes, Jaws, Menders, Parasites, Chameleons, Sonar, and creature food, and death, now have their own sounds and visual effects
Building pillars are now breakable, and Sonar cooldown is 5 seconds longer

Some large balence changes today:

You now have 2 ability slots instead of 1, leading to new interesting combinations.
Jaws and Parasites are now abilities.

New part as well: Feeder (I will make it's own unique look soon, spike is just a placeholder)


New ability: Shooter! (I will most likely balance the cost and cooldown, but it needs testing) This is another important milestone, which I can add a lot of other projectile themed abilities.


Other changes, armor now gives 1.5 HP instead of 1, and brain appetite reduced from 4 to 3 as a minor buff.

New ability: Webber! The design goal was to give smaller creatures a way to counter sharks and whales


Reduced the appetite of chameleon and jet, added health regeneration to mender, and added some new curated species in the home menu with 30+ DNA costs.
There are 5 new maps, and each server will randomly choose one:
Eventually I will make it so servers generate new maps every 30 minutes, or add a map voting system.

New healing ability: Vivicyte


You can now always see friends highlighted, and they can always see you. This is now default, but you can toggle this off in settings

New ability: Nouricyte. (I know so original)


In new servers, your despawn time now scales with how many parts you have. The goal for this update is to reduce the frequency of apex predators cleaning the open ocean, only to despawn and instantly respawn. If something is unsustainable or unhealthy in a server, this should naturally encourage downsizing to medium sized predators.

A few updates today:

Players now have a forcefield for a few seconds. No one can harm you, and you can't harm anyone else until the forcefield is gone.
Balance changes to shooter and webber, along with a DNA increase and health nerf to jaws.
The densest map areas are now slightly less dense to fit 2 cell wide creatures.

New part: Drill


Running over each other, along with spikes and jaws doing damage through shells is now fixed (not perfect but 90% safer than it used to be). So now I can properly balance the game a lot better now

Some small updates today:

Started working on the help page, which currently explains every stat. It will eventually give building and general gameplay tips, along with explanations of the stat bars.
Buffed brains to 2 appetite instead of 3.
Jaws are back to 2 DNA now that armor is safer. I figured giving a free option to play as a carnivore is important for players.
Shooters now deal 2 damage. But I might buff the damage to 5 given how clunky and hard it is to use the ability.
If you somehow spawn below the map, returning home will now instantly despawn your creature
Forcefield time will now be 3 seconds longer in new servers
Jaws in new servers will give 0.5 health instead of 0.75
New servers will now generate a new map every hour. You will still be able to live as long as you want, it will just move you to a new spawn location.
Membranes will no longer open and close if membranes are the only part on your creature. No more invisible invincible ghosts lol.
Shooters now deal 3 damage instead of 2

New ability: Grazer, for the herbivore fans out there


Base despawn time is 0 seconds, but scales much faster now. Little to medium creatures will barely notice a difference, it will affect mostly apexes
Urchin reduced to 10 DNA, +1 max traps, and longer set up time
In new servers, you can now freely rotate regular parts, rather than just directional parts like spikes, movers, and mouths.
Creature stats in the build menu and home menu now show your DNA risk
In new servers (eventually), the health bar UI should be fixed and visible to iphone players

Todays updates, in new servers (eventually):

You now lose 1/4th of your DNA instead of 1/3rd
Armor health buffed from 1.5 to 2 HP
Webber health buffed from 1 to 2 HP. Hitting a direct hit with your Webber now applies an additional second of slow.
Jet appetite reduced from 2.5 to 2
